We’re Beth & Laura, also known as Fable & the Verbivore, and we’re so glad you are here. We started this little place on the web because we love talking about books, words, stories, and the writing life and we wanted to connect with others who love those things too.
The internet is full of people talking about writing and reading — articles, blog posts, podcasts, and whole websites for writers and readers abound. We aren’t trying to replace any of the good ones and we aren’t so arrogant as to think that we have some knowledge that no one else has that must be shared. What we want to do in this space is just “follow curiosity” and invite others along for the ride.
We also know from personal experience how overwhelming the plethora of writing information and resources can be, so we want to start to curate a list of the writing tips, tricks, and resources that have been helpful to us.
Our own writing journeys have been full of twists, turns, and bumps in the road. We get lost often. We are still stumbling our way through. Maybe you are too? Maybe you’re looking for a friend to walk through the unknown with you? We want to do just that — come alongside others who are also embarking on the adventure of putting words on a page.
