Resources for Writers

Resources for when you’re just starting out on your writing journey

When we first start writing it’s easy to feel uncertain, tentative, and like impostors stepping into a realm we’re not sure we belong in.

If you’ve always dreamed of writing, but feel like you are just starting out, you’re not alone. We’ve been there (in many ways we still are there). These are the resources that helped us get over our own hurdles and show up to the work of writing day after day.

Resources for when you’re in the thick of it and right in the middle of the writing forest

The resources we need after we’ve been writing for awhile, feel a little different than the ones we need when we’re starting out.

Maybe now you’ve come to a place where you know this writing life is for you. You have done some work, you’ve put in some hours and written pages upon pages. Maybe your querying your book with agents, or maybe you have a book published, or self published, but you want to improve in the craft of writing.

These are the resources that are helping us walk those paths through the middle of the forest of writing and publishing unknowns.

Resources for when you’re well established in your writing career

If you’ve been writing for a long time, you might find you’ve started to fall into familiar patterns. You have been to the workshops, you’ve read the books, you’ve sharpened your writing skills.

What now? The amazing thing about writing is that there are always ways we can improve and get better. We believe one of the ways that we can improve our skills once they are developed and be challenges to try new things is by teaching others what we know. If you are an established writer, we’d love to talk with you about being a guest on Fable & The Verbivore.
